About
Young Consulting Engineers of Namibia (YCEN) is a young professionals’ forum operating under the Association of Consulting Engineers of Namibia (ACEN). YCEN was re-established in March 2024 following a dormancy from when it was initially established in 2001.
YCEN membership is open to young professionals under the age of 35 who are employed by ACEN member firms. Young professionals in the engineering fraternity not employed by ACEN member firms can still join YCEN as associate members and enjoy access to YCEN activities and initiatives.
Vision and Mission
To empower young engineering professionals by fostering a supportive community that facilitates professional growth and knowledge sharing across Namibia.
Objectives
- To represent and advocate for the interests of young consulting engineers in Namibia.
- To promote and raise awareness of consulting engineering as a profession
- To provide a platform for professional development, mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- To organise training programs, workshops, and networking events in collaboration with consulting firms.
